Here we have Andy's hand-written lyrics to 'The Soldier's Return'!, (B-side of 'Victim Of love'). No, I didn't steal them from Andy's house or anything!, they were actually printed in the 'Smash Hits Yearbook 1988' along with some other famous popster's lyrics. Here's what Smash Hits had to say about Andy's handwriting skills:-

1. Rather odd "creative" handwriting.

2. Rather weedy notepad paper

3. Coffee mug stain over the end of first verse at the beginning of the chorus on the right - hot drinks obviously help a song along a treat!.

4. Rather suspect spelling of the word "cannon" at the beginning of the second page. Oh well...

5. Rather botched up beginning before he decides that "slow the years go by" is more suitable for a romantic tale of war than "years go slowly by". These are the things you have to think about when you write songs, viewers.

Hmm, thanks for that! (not!). Well, obviously "slow the years go by" sounds much better. Anyone can see that...
